Minnesota’s 2027 Expo Bid

World Expo 2027

For 93 days in summer 2027, Bloomington and the Twin Cities will be home to a range of Expo activities and events. Hosting global pavilions, regional, national and global visitors, unveiling new technology, art, culture and science.

The U.S. bid enjoys strong bipartisan support at the national, state, and local levels. The U.S. government, including the past and current Administration and U.S. Congress. Minnesota’s delegation got the last administration to authorize the Department of State to rejoin the Bureau of International Expositions (BIE). The U.S. government concluded that there is sufficient financial and local support to assure the successful development of the exposition. The State of Minnesota has been an effective advocate at the regional level. Citizen groups from across the state and from all corners of the nation have supported this effort to host the first expo in the United States in nearly 4years.
