Expo 2027

Minnesota, USA, Aims to Host the 2027 Specialized Expo Centered on Health and Wellness: “Healthy People, Healthy Planet”

A Sign of the Times

Each year, the world spends over $12 trillion on health and wellness—representing nearly one-sixth of the global economy. Minnesota’s proposal to host the 2027 Specialized Expo focuses on this critical issue of our era. With no other sector matching the scale of the wellness economy, the state—often referred to as the “Silicon Valley of Healthcare”—stands out as an ideal destination for this vital international event.

Minnesota as America’s Bid

As the official U.S. bid, Minnesota is working to bring a World’s Fair back to the United States for the first time in over four decades. With a deep-rooted history in public health excellence and a legacy of producing global healthcare pioneers, Minnesota is uniquely equipped to host a global conversation on wellness. Our comprehensive perspective on health, along with a strong record of hosting high-profile events, makes us a natural fit for Expo 2027.

Big Event has a Big Impact

Hosting a World Expo generates significant economic momentum for the local area. During the three-month event, millions of guests will explore the Expo, stay in local accommodations, and enjoy regional destinations. This projected impact is backed by a comprehensive economic study from Rockport Analytics regarding the Minnesota 2027 Expo.

World’s Fairs and Expo Resources

Known in the U.S. as World’s Fairs, Expos serve as global stages where nations, corporations, civic groups, and other organizations showcase innovations in science, society, and technology—highlighting themes of global importance.
